The Lab Verdict

Executive Summary

/100

The Verdict:

The MaxJax M7K-110V-Ultimate is the 110V Ultimate package of the M7K portable two-post — a genuine 7,000-lb two-post lift that gives full undercarriage access, then unbolts and stores away when you need the garage back. This Ultimate package runs on a standard 110V outlet — the value pick if you want the full accessory set without special wiring. All packages share the same lift and roughly 45 inches of rise; they differ by the adapters and accessories included, so match the package to the vehicles you service. Compare the Ultimate M7K-04 and Standard M7K-01.

  • Who Should Buy It:
  • Professional mechanics and shop owners
  • Serious DIYers who do suspension, brake, and exhaust work
  • Anyone who needs full undercarriage access
  • Users willing to drill anchor holes into concrete
  • Who Should Skip It:
  • Anyone who cannot drill into their concrete floor
  • Users with concrete less than 4″ thick or with major cracks
  • People who want a simple, no-install solution
  • ⚠️ Lab Note:
This unit requires a 220V/230V connection. Most homes do not have this outlet in the garage. You may need an electrician to install a dedicated circuit.

Engineering Analysis

The “Deep Dive”

Hydraulics & Rise Time

A 110V or 220V electric-hydraulic power unit raises the two independent columns in sync; the compact design is what lets the M7K come back out when you’re done.

Safety Lock System

Automatic mechanical safety locks hold the vehicle on steel stops through the rise — a true two-post lock system in a portable frame.

Structural Integrity

Portable two-post rated 7,000 lb with about 45 inches (3.75 ft) of rise — it anchors into the slab like a full two-post but unbolts and stores away when not in use.

The "Squeeze" Factor

This is the most critical section for the M7K-110V_Ultimate_Package.

DRIVE-THROUGH WIDTH Check with manufacturer

Drive-through width data is not available for this lift. Please verify fitment specifications with the manufacturer before purchasing.

Anchors, but removable

Unlike a fixed two-post, the M7K bolts into the slab yet comes back out — but it still needs sound concrete (anchors depend on it). It’s mid-rise, so ceiling height is rarely an issue. Compare two-post options in our best 2-post lifts guide.

Year 1 Maintenance Schedule

Owning a lift is like owning a car. You can’t just install it and ignore it.

Weekly

Check the Arm Restraints. When the lift is raised, the gears on the arms should lock so they cannot swing. If they slip, adjust the spring tension immediately. Inspect lifting pads for wear.

Monthly

Check the Equalizer Cables. These are the thin cables running across the floor (or overhead). They sync the two carriages. They should be tight like a guitar string. Lubricate the carriage slides.

Yearly

Inspect the rubber lifting pads. If the metal is showing through the rubber, replace the pads. Metal-on-metal contact can slip. Check hydraulic hoses, seals, and anchor bolts. Verify column alignment.
