Ceiling Math

To stack two cars, you need:

Car A Height + Car B Height + 10" (Runway + Clearance)

Example: 2020 Mustang (55") + 1969 Camaro (51") + 10" = 116 inches (9.6 feet)

If your ceiling is 9 feet (108"), you CANNOT stack these two cars with this lift. You would need a "Low Profile" modification or shorter cars.

Installation Reality: Drilling is Mandatory

Concrete is Critical: Unlike 4-post lifts, a 2-post lift exerts massive leverage on your floor. If your concrete is less than 4 inches thick or has major cracks, STOP. Do not install this lift. It will rip the anchors out of the ground.

The Tool: You cannot use a standard cordless drill. You need a Rotary Hammer Drill (SDS-Max or SDS-Plus) to drill the anchor holes.

Shimming: Vertical alignment is key. You will spend 1-2 hours using the included shims to ensure the columns are perfectly plumb (90 degrees). If they lean even 1 degree, the arms will swing open on their own.

Year 1 Maintenance Schedule

Owning a lift is like owning a car. You can’t just install it and ignore it.

Weekly

Check the Arm Restraints. When the lift is raised, the gears on the arms should lock so they cannot swing. If they slip, adjust the spring tension immediately. Inspect lifting pads for wear.

Monthly

Check the Equalizer Cables. These are the thin cables running across the floor (or overhead). They sync the two carriages. They should be tight like a guitar string. Lubricate the carriage slides.

Yearly
