The Lab Verdict

Executive Summary

The Verdict:

The Wildfire 9000 Exotic Tall is a 9,000-lb four-post purpose-built for exotic and low-clearance cars. It combines extra lift height with unusually wide 23-inch runways — sized for the wide rear tires that supercars run — so a low, wide exotic loads without scraping and sits securely up top. It reaches 6 feet 9 inches of clearance for storage or detailing underneath. If you’re protecting a low-slung, wide-tired car, the wider runways and extra height are exactly what a standard four-post lacks.

  • Who Should Buy It:
  • Owners of exotic, low-clearance, or wide-tired cars
  • Collectors who want to store a special car safely up top
  • Anyone whose car scrapes on standard-width runways
  • Who Should Skip It:
  • Standard cars and trucks (the Standard or XLT costs less)
  • Vehicles over 9,000 lb
  • ⚠️ Lab Note:
The extra-wide 23″ runways are the point — great for wide rear tires, but confirm your car’s track fits and your ceiling clears the extra height.

Engineering Analysis

The “Deep Dive”

Hydraulics & Rise Time

An electric-hydraulic power unit raises the extra-wide runways together on equalized cables.

Safety Lock System

Multiple mechanical top-lock positions hold the runways on steel stops at up to 6’9″ of clearance.

Structural Integrity

Four-post lift rated 9,000 lb, built extra-tall with 23-inch extra-wide runways for low, wide exotic cars, reaching 6’9″ clearance. Ship weight ~2,390 lb.

The "Squeeze" Factor

This is the most critical section for the CLL-WSL-005.

DRIVE-THROUGH WIDTH Check with manufacturer

Drive-through width data is not available for this lift. Please verify fitment specifications with the manufacturer before purchasing.

Fit & setup

Freestanding four-post on flat concrete — confirm the footprint and ceiling height. Compare in our best 4-post lifts guide or all 4-post lifts.

The Lab Take:

Both lifts are in a similar category. Your decision should come down to specific features that matter most for your use case.

Year 1 Maintenance Schedule

Owning a lift is like owning a car. You can’t just install it and ignore it.

Weekly

Wipe down the inside of the columns. Dust mixed with grease turns into a grinding paste that wears out your slider blocks. Check for debris around the runways and base plates.

Monthly

Check Cable Tension. You will hear the locks “clicking” as the lift goes up. If one corner clicks later than the others, that cable is loose. Tighten the nut on top of that specific column to level it out. Inspect the safety locks for proper engagement.

Yearly

Inspect the hydraulic hoses for dry rot or cracks. Grease the pulleys (sheaves) if they do not have sealed bearings. Check all bolts and fasteners for tightness. Verify hydraulic fluid levels and condition.
