The Lab Verdict

Executive Summary

The Verdict:

The Wildfire 10000 Double-Wide is a 10,000-lb four-post lift built to store or service two vehicles side by side — a genuine space-doubler for a wide garage. It raises to 6 feet 9 inches of clearance on the top locks, enough to park a car beneath the one stored above, and it runs on a standard 110V outlet (3 HP motor), so no special wiring is needed. At nearly 3,900 lb of shipping weight it’s a heavy, substantial lift rather than a lightweight import. If you want to fit more cars into a wide bay — two side by side, with room to park beneath each — it’s one of the more affordable ways to do it. Its closest comparison is the dual-platform BendPak HD-9SW.

  • Who Should Buy It:
  • Wide garages that want to store or service two vehicles side by side
  • Collectors doubling parking in a single wide bay
  • Anyone who only has a standard 110V outlet — no 220V needed
  • Who Should Skip It:
  • Narrow or single-car garages (this needs real side-to-side width)
  • Buyers needing full stand-up service access (a two-post suits that)
  • Vehicles over the 10,000-lb combined rating
  • ⚠️ Lab Note:
“Double-wide” means width — measure your garage side to side, and confirm ceiling height for the 6’9″ clearance plus a vehicle stored on top.

Engineering Analysis

The “Deep Dive”

Hydraulics & Rise Time

A 3 HP, 110V power unit raises both wide runways together — no 220V wiring needed — with equalized cables keeping the platform level across its full width.

Safety Lock System

Multiple mechanical lock positions hold the runways on steel top-lock stops at up to 6 feet 9 inches of clearance, sized to secure two vehicles for long-term storage.

Structural Integrity

A heavy double-wide four-post design — nearly 3,900 lb of lift — with runways wide enough for two vehicles side by side and rated 10,000 lb total. Clearance reaches 6’9″ on the top locks.

The "Squeeze" Factor

This is the most critical section for the CLL-WSL-006.

DRIVE-THROUGH WIDTH Check with manufacturer

Drive-through width data is not available for this lift. Please verify fitment specifications with the manufacturer before purchasing.

Fit & setup

This is a freestanding four-post, so it doesn’t bolt down — but it needs a genuinely wide bay and flat, sound concrete. Confirm your ceiling height for 6’9″ of clearance plus a vehicle on top. Compare it with the dual-platform BendPak HD-9SW in our best 4-post lifts guide, or browse all 4-post lifts.

Year 1 Maintenance Schedule

Owning a lift is like owning a car. You can’t just install it and ignore it.

Weekly

Wipe down the inside of the columns. Dust mixed with grease turns into a grinding paste that wears out your slider blocks. Check for debris around the runways and base plates.

Monthly

Check Cable Tension. You will hear the locks “clicking” as the lift goes up. If one corner clicks later than the others, that cable is loose. Tighten the nut on top of that specific column to level it out. Inspect the safety locks for proper engagement.

Yearly

Inspect the hydraulic hoses for dry rot or cracks. Grease the pulleys (sheaves) if they do not have sealed bearings. Check all bolts and fasteners for tightness. Verify hydraulic fluid levels and condition.
