The Lab Verdict

Executive Summary

78

/100

The Verdict:

The Autostacker standard (110V) is a 6,000-lb single-car parking lift — it raises one vehicle so a second parks underneath, doubling a single bay without a full four-post footprint. A BendPak-built stacker with the polish and safety engineering that implies, it’s a premium solution for tight garages. Compare the 208-240V A6.

  • Who Should Buy It:
  • Homeowners wanting to double their garage parking capacity
  • Car collectors who need to stack vehicles for storage
  • DIY enthusiasts who perform oil changes and basic maintenance
  • Anyone who wants the safest, easiest-to-use lift type
  • Who Should Skip It:
  • Users who need to do wheel-off suspension work (unless you buy bridge jacks)
  • Anyone without at least 4″ of cured concrete
  • Owners of extra-wide vehicles like Ford Raptors or duallys
  • ⚠️ Lab Note:
While 4-post lifts are free-standing, we recommend anchoring to the floor for maximum stability, especially in seismic zones.

Engineering Analysis

The “Deep Dive”

Hydraulics & Rise Time

An electric-hydraulic power unit raises the platform on a compact scissor-style parking mechanism, level and controlled.

Safety Lock System

Automatic mechanical safety locks hold the platform on steel stops, engineered to store a vehicle safely overhead.

Structural Integrity

Single-platform 6,000-lb parking lift (standard (110V) configuration) — raises one car to park a second beneath, in a compact garage footprint.

The "Squeeze" Factor

This is the most critical section for the CLL-ASL-001.

DRIVE-THROUGH WIDTH Check with manufacturer

Drive-through width data is not available for this lift. Please verify fitment specifications with the manufacturer before purchasing.

Fit & setup

Set on flat concrete and confirm the ceiling height for a vehicle stored overhead plus the one beneath. Compare storage options in our best 4-post lifts guide.

The Lab Take:

Both lifts are in a similar category. Your decision should come down to specific features that matter most for your use case.

Year 1 Maintenance Schedule

Owning a lift is like owning a car. You can’t just install it and ignore it.

Weekly

Wipe down the inside of the columns. Dust mixed with grease turns into a grinding paste that wears out your slider blocks. Check for debris around the runways and base plates.

Monthly

Check Cable Tension. You will hear the locks “clicking” as the lift goes up. If one corner clicks later than the others, that cable is loose. Tighten the nut on top of that specific column to level it out. Inspect the safety locks for proper engagement.

Yearly

Inspect the hydraulic hoses for dry rot or cracks. Grease the pulleys (sheaves) if they do not have sealed bearings. Check all bolts and fasteners for tightness. Verify hydraulic fluid levels and condition.
